Wife runs away after husband allegedly bit her
A woman ran away from her house after her husband allegedly bit her and hit her with a cooking pan during a domestic dispute.
Police said the victim sustained bite marks on the leg and forearm, and bruises on the thigh.
Jin Min Wang, 35, was arrested Sunday night for assault and battery. He was taken to the Superior Court yesterday for a bail hearing.
Detective Andrea C. Ozawa stated in her report that on Sunday night, Wang called the Department of Public Safety to report that his wife had taken her belongings and left their home. He asked police to call him if his wife is found.
After more than an hour, a caller contacted DPS to report a beating case in San Antonio.
Police investigation showed that the victim actually ran away from Wang and stayed with a friend for four days.
The victim told police that during a domestic dispute, Wang bit her leg and hit her thigh with a cooking pan.
The victim said she was scared to report the beating to the police for fear that Wang would kill her. The person to whom she confided the beating immediately reported the matter to the police.
