GCA holds fundraising dinner tonight
Grace Christian Academy is holding a fundraising dinner tonight at the Fiesta Resort Hotel and Spa for the benefit of the student body organization.
The special event is scheduled from 6pm to 10pm with entertainment to be provided by the students, parents, faculty members and staff.
This is the third time the school will hold the fundraising dinner, spearheaded by a committee headed by its chairman, Ed Salas. This year’s theme is “A Night to be Thankful”
GCA principal Faith Dela Rosa said the committee members have worked hard to make the event successful and memorable.
The committee been working since the start of the school year to design and distribute tickets, organize presentations, secure donors, and coordinate efforts with teachers and parents.
Salas and school accountant Benjie Ganapin will be the evening’s masters of ceremony.
Door and raffle prizes, donated by individuals and numerous local businesses, would also be given away.
Dela Rosa said that previous funds raised were used to build a covered walkway between GCA’s elementary and high school buildings.
Last school year, school administrators cited an urgent need to repair the school’s basketball court’s roof, install bleachers, and construct a library. To complete the basketball court project, an estimated $169.000 is needed.
