Farewell, our friend

We would like people to know how Jul has impacted our lives. He was my husband’s OIC (officer in charge), mentor, and close friend. He always encouraged and praised Chris for all the good things he did when no one did. Jul was a big part of our family. We are still in complete shock; it really hurts to lose a friend. Coming to grips with this is going to be very difficult. Jul never showed vulnerability, he was so strong and active. We will always remember his smile, positivity, humility, and will always cherish the memories that we shared with him. To Uncle Ben, Auntie Rit, Brenda, and the girls: Please know that we are so sorry and that we share with you all the loss of this great man. And to Jul, “Sarge”: Thank you so much for being that rock and that push in our shove, without you we wouldn’t be in the place we are today. We love you and we will miss you so very much. ‘Til we meet again!
