Major episodes of the first film to feature local mixed martial artists would be shot on Saipan and Rota, according to Justis “Cuki” Alvarez, president and promoter of Trench Tech Inc.

Alvarez said anyone who wants a crack at becoming an actor or actress would have the chance to be part of the movie, even for the lead role of Jay Garrido, a youngster who wants to become a great MMA fighter.

Auditions for this role and other characters for the film have been set tomorrow in Guam, where most of the episodes would be shot. Some portions would also be shot in California.

The casting location would be at the Guahan Project core Pacific Business Center Suite 301, Chalan San Antonio, Tamuning, Guam.

Alvarez encouraged interested Chamorros to join the auditions. “Be confident. Who knows, you could be the next Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie.”

The audition for the lead role is scheduled at 2pm to 6pm on Oct. 18 while the roles for Gadao and Taga will be on Oct. 21, from 6pm to 9pm.

Gadao is in his early 20s, is an MMA fighter, and a kind of Psycho Chamorro, while Taga is an unbelievably strong and brave 10-year-old boy based on the Myth of Taga.

Other characters that are up for grabs are:

Ditty, a hot and sassy Chamorro-Filipina girl, a kind of Paris Hilton of Guam.

Don Don, is an attractive and intelligent Chamorro girl who has a deep appreciation for Chamorro culture. She is Jay Garrido’s love interest.

Teresita, a mid-30s Chamorro woman who is Jay’s mother.

Nana, mid-60s, Jay’s grandma who is strong-willed and proud of her Chamorro culture and ancestors.

Aunty Lou, early 30s, who is a Chamorro and Jay’s aunt, eccentric but loving and warm.

Madame President, mid-50s, a rich woman who loves to dress fashionably, very superficial and portrayed as a “cougar in the prowl.”

Auditions for the roles of Teresita, Nana, Aunty Lou, Madame President, Ditty and Don Don would be on Oct. 23, from 6pm to 9pm.
