PTI recently replaced some of the missing and damaged hospital room phones at the Commonwealth Healthcare Center, thanks in part to the support of the CHC Volunteers Association.

Longtime CHC Volunteers Association president Kimberly Prinz-Coats is familiar with the facility’s needs and she was happy to receive the much needed phones from PTI.

“We really needed these phones and all we had to do was ask John [Mantanona] and he came through again,” she said.

Once PTI Business Sales Manager John Mantanona received Prinz-Coats’ call, he immediately had his team identify the units and readied them for the hospital.

“It was never a matter of if we were going to help the CHC Volunteers; it was just a matter of locating the phones and taking care of the organization that does so much to care for everyone at the hospital,” he said. “We were so pleased to be able to assist them.”

This was not the first time that PTI donated phones to the hospital. The CHC Volunteers previously received a number of phones from PTI but many of them had either become damaged due to frequent use by patients and visitors or went missing. The new phones are specially programmed so that they will not work outside the hospital to prevent theft.

The CHC Volunteers are always accepting donations from the community.

“If anyone wants to make a donation to the CHC Volunteers all they have to do is call us at the hospital or drop by at the gift shop and let one of us know,” Prinz-Coats said. (PTI)
