Police arrested on Wednesday 34-year-old man who allegedly sexually abused three minors on Rota.

Alvin A. Pinaula was brought to the Superior Court on Saipan yesterday afternoon for sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and second degree.

Associate Judge David A. Wiseman imposed a $60,000 cash bail for Pinaula’s temporary liberty.

Detective George Barcinas said the investigation started last Aug. 30 when a woman reported to police that the defendant sexually abused her daughter.

Barcinas said the complainant told police that Pinaula may also have sexually abused other girls.

The investigation led to the discovery that the defendant also sexually abused two other minors.

Barcinas said that when he interviewed Pinaula last Sept. 30, the defendant admitted sexually abusing the three minors.

Pinaula allegedly insisted he doesn’t know why he did it and that he needs help.
