The Fitial administration welcomed Asiana Airlines’ additional flights from Osaka, vowing to help the airlines’ investment in the CNMI.

Press secretary Charles Reyes Jr. said that Gov. Benigno R. Fitial is very happy with Asiana’s inaugural flight from Osaka, Japan, that is coming this Saturday morning.

Reyes said the governor wants to see the continued commitment of airlines to fly to the islands.

“We want to do everything in our power to help facilitate their success in their investment in the Commonwealth,” he said.

Reyes said the Asiana flight is reasonably priced. “So we might get more flights from Japan, especially since Korea is down. We suffered a 20-23 percent decline last month in November,” he said.

Asiana currently has 18 flights from Korea.
