Who is paying?

The governor has no standing in his hypothetical and speculative case against America. Fitial’s actions are costly and an embarrassment to the people here, frivolous in every respect. House Rep. Sablan’s letter was cited in the United States’ motion to dismiss. Her comments demonstrated more reason and logic than the governor, his administration, his business associates and their interests, his free consultants, and she has represented the CNMI with wisdom and tenacity.

The governor has again squandered our dwindling resources for his own political and proprietary interests. Most NMI congresspersons stood silent during this affair, and are apparently either unwilling or unequipped to act on our dire circumstances and complicated economic issues. It is amazing that so many local lawmakers would let Fitial and a couple of mainland lawyers squander NMI money against the best interests of so many needy indigenous children and their futures.

The CNMI financial collapse is imminent and for the CNMI Legislature to do nothing is unforgivable. This regime brings no shame to citizens here unless we do nothing about it. We must demand accountability for these actions, specifically who funded this legal action and what the decent citizens of the NMI now owe this person, company, or country. I am requesting the U.S. Homeland Security Department to investigate this matter expeditiously for the best interests of our citizens and the security interests of the United States of America.
