Tinian police schedule four checkpoints

The Tinian Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting DUI/sobriety checkpoints next week.
The first checkpoint will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, along the westbound lane of Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose village. The checkpoint will begin at 7pm and end at 8:15pm.
The second one will be held on Tuesday, Dec.23, 2008, along Marpo Valley road by Hofschneider’s warehouse. It will start at 8pm and end at 9:15pm.
The third will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, along Broadway Road by the Tinian Democrat headquarters. The checkpoint will start at 8pm and end at 9:15pm.
The second setup will be along the westbound lane of Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose village. It will start at 11pm and will be terminated at 12:15am.
The third setup will be along Broadway road by Housing Turnkey on the northbound lane, from 1am to 2:15am.
The fourth checkpoint will be held on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, along Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose village. It will start at 6pm and will end at 7:15pm.
All the checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain.
In addition to the checkpoints, officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions and laser activities.
