Grateful GTC extends kudos to RGA
Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School recently thanked Refuluwasch Golf Association for donating proceeds from its Inaugural Memorial Classic to the San Roque school.
“The RGA with the help of its members, tournament participants, tournament sponsors, GTC staff volunteers, and GTC PTA volunteers raised $3,500. This substantial amount of money was given directly to the GTC PTA and will be dispersed to the school through that organization,” said GTC acting vice principal Martin Dalsaso.
He added that the generosity and philanthropic spirit of all who contributed to the worthwhile and worthy event deserves a huge binadu thank you.
“A special thanks to Mr. Jesse Wabol of the RGA for his tireless efforts to ensure the event was a success and to Mr. George Cruz, president of the GTC PTA, for his always enthusiastic and positive leadership capabilities,” added Dalsaso.
GTC received the donation last Dec. 7 during the awards banquet of RGA’s Club Championship held at the Kili Café of Hyatt Regency Saipan.
GTC acting principal Charlotte Camacho received the amount together with GTC-PTA treasurer Marlene C. Cruz.
Cruz said the donation may be used to purchase instructional materials, fix chairs or air-conditioned units, and to fund projects that will benefit students.
Wabol, for his part, thanked all private companies, individuals, and government officials for supporting the Memorial Cup and all RGA-sanctioned events this year.
He said next year, RGA will hold a draw again to determine the beneficiary of the Memorial Cup. Past beneficiaries were the man’amko, Garapan Elementary School, and individuals wishing to have something for Christmas.
