As 2008 comes to a close, the Friends of the Mariana Islands has completed this year’s Environmental Restoration Cleanup Project funded by Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc. along Tun Herman Pan Road up to ISA Drive (from Airport Road up to Botanical Garden, Papago).

The Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc. donation was used by the Friends of the Mariana Islands for the supplies needed by the FMI volunteers. The volunteers sincerely appreciate the support of Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc. in this undertaking. Without the support from Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc., the Environmental Restoration Cleanup Project would not have been possible. The Friends of the Mariana Islands hopes for continued support from Mobil Oil Marian islands Inc. in 2009 for an Environmental Restoration Cleanup Project along Lau-Lau Bay Drive.

The Friends of the Mariana Islands would like to acknowledge the years of support from Mrs. Cecile Bamba-Suda, manager, Public Relations & Government Affairs of Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc., and wish her well in her retirement plan. Mrs. Suda will be missed by the Friends of the Mariana Islands and each member.
