Stop the suffering and shame

Question: Would you buy a used car from Lt. Gov. Tim Villagomez? Most of our legislators indicated that they probably would when they voted down House Resolution 16-74. The resolution would have allowed the House to investigate the public information regarding Tim and then deciding if there were reasons to recommend impeachment. It would have taken guts to vote for the resolution, and that seems to be lacking on Capital Hill, except for only one legislator.

I asked my Representatives from District 4 if they were proud of what Tim is alleged to have done, regarding Ridlyme and CUC. They are good guys and admitted that they were embarrassed by all that has happened. Still they voted against the Resolution HR 16-74. They have their reasons for their vote, which I assume are valid. I think that politics are at play.

The CNMI has a blot on our society and government as long as Tim is still determined to stay in his office. His focus in life must be on his survival as a citizen of the CNMI. He continues to get his big salary, and the electricity for his family free. What do the people get in return? I’ll tell you what we get: embarrassment, laughter, shame, and another bad example for the kids of the CNMI.

Tim should cut us free of the blot he has brought upon the people and step aside and resign. Whether he is innocent or guilty is not the question, the courts will determine that. He should leave to set the people free from this situation that he has caused. He should stop the suffering and shame.
