A laptop and three signature bags were stolen from one of the tenants on the third floor of the Juan Ian Building in Garapan yesterday morning.

Alma Mesa said her daughter started looking for their laptop around 7:15am and when she got home, they discovered they have been burglarized. She said she called the apartment’s owner, Sen. Luis Crisostimo, right away. The senator, she said, was the one who called police, who arrived around 8:30am.

Mesa said the perpetrator(s) used the kitchen area to gain entry into the back side of the apartment.

“Our unit is the only one without a [window] grille. We’re on the third floor. The apartment has a surveillance camera in front, but the back doesn’t have one and that’s where they entered our unit,” she told Saipan Tribune.

Mesa said she lost her black/silver Averatic laptop which has 12.1” LCD, worth $1,450. Also stolen were Kipling, Coach and Versace bags.

She said she will start going around all pawnshops to give the description of her stolen laptop.

“I am hoping whoever burglarized our apartment will get caught and the items stolen will be returned to us,” Mesa added.
