Top Pool Bar will be holding open 8-ball tournaments every Saturday at the Garapan watering hole and sports bar.

Dubbed simply as the Top Pool Bar 8-Ball Billiards Tournament, the competition will adopt a double-elimination format with a maximum of 16 players each week.

Top Pool Bar manager Zheng Jian Qing set the entrance fee at $10 with the tournament utilizing the rules of the Billiards Congress of America.

He said players are free to practice at the venue between 7pm to 8pm. A standard 9 1/2-by-5-foot table with new carpet will be used.

Giveaways will be given throughout the tournament by Budweiser.

“Come down and test your skills against the island’s best,” said Zheng.

Top Pool Bar, located along Hotel Street and a stone’s throw away from the Paseo de Marianas, is as spacious as it is modern and boasts of two pool tables usually found in professional tournaments abroad.
