Your article on May 1, 2009 US Army Reserve to build training facility at Marpi range concerning the Army Reserve and its support to fund improvements on the Public Safety firing range requires some corrections. The Army Reserve is currently in dialogue with the director of public safety on having soldiers based on Saipan use the public safety firing range. Currently the discussions have articulated the requirements from the Army Reserve and there has been no discussion of funding for this initiative. The Army Reserve continues to discuss potential courses of action which can help both groups. As listed in your article there is continued discussion on the possible future expansion of the Army Reserve Center. We continue to work with the CNMI government and the Navy to build additional facilities for the unit in Saipan.
