BankPacific celebrates 67 years of service
It was 67 years ago on this day when BankPacific, then known as Guam Savings and Loan Association, opened its doors to the public in the Guam Daily News Building, where the DNA Building stands today in Hagatna.
Their first depositor was then-governor Ford Elvidge and it was received by future governor and bank founder Joseph Flores. The bank’s first loan was to the late Joe and Flo Gutierrez for their home in Agana Heights.
In celebration BankPacific is inviting all, customers and non-customers alike, to visit its offices today for refreshments and a good time. (PR)
