A man was arrested for allegedly causing his brother to almost lose consciousness by locking his legs around his brother’s neck at their residence in Koblerville early Sunday morning.

Ronald J. Lizama, 21, was arrested for assault and battery, and disturbing the peace. Bail was set at $1,500 cash.

Detective Catherine Pangelinan stated in her report that on Sunday at 1:34am, police responded to a call about a disturbing the peace complaint at a residence in Koblerville.

Pangelinan said when a patrol officer arrived, Ramon Lizama was seen kneeling on the ground beside his son, who was lying on the ground after he allegedly almost lost consciousness.

Pangelinan said that, according to the victim, he was sleeping and had heard someone knocking on the front door. The victim checked outside and saw his brother Ronald Lizama arguing with a visitor.

The victim told Ronald Lizama to stop arguing, but his brother instead hit him on the chin with the right palm.

The victim held Ronald Lizama down to the ground to secure him and told the visitor to leave the area.

The victim then freed his brother as their father instructed him.

Ronald Lizama, however, turned around and locked his legs around the victim’s neck. At the same time, he grabbed his brother’s head and pulled it backward.

The victim waved to his father to help him because he couldn’t breath anymore.
