“Service to the Armed Forces” has provided humanitarian support to the U.S. military, veterans, and their families under a trusted symbol for almost 130 years.

Through this program, the Red Cross provides emergency communications, supports military and veteran hospitals and health care facilities, as well as providing social services to the more than two million military members to include National Guard and Reservists, 23 million veterans and their three million family members.

Recently, Red Cross has implemented improvements in their emergency communications support to the Armed Forces. These enhancements are seamless to all military, veterans and their families.

Red Cross will continue to keep families connected in crisis, provide case management services and assist with emergency financial assistance.

“Service members and families here in the CNMI now have the option of initiating emergency messages via a toll free number (1-877-272-7337)” said John Hirsh, executive director of the NMI Chapter. “Having this number along with still being able to call the chapter staff provides another option for our military in times of need.”

For more information on this new service, call the chapter at 234-3459.
