Rookie cop arrested for domestic violence

A rookie police officer was arrested Saturday night for allegedly beating up his wife in front of their house in Dandan.

Sources at the Department of Public Safety said that Police Officer 1 Gordon O. Seman was arrested for assault and battery and disturbing the peace.

Seman is expected to be taken to the Superior Court today, Monday, for a bail hearing.

Sources said that Seman allegedly punched his wife in the mouth and kicked her in the thigh. She allegedly sustained injuries on the mouth and thigh.

The officer ran away but responding police officers later arrested him near the Jin Store in Dandan.

It was not clear whether alcohol was a factor in the incident.
