CUC sets 3-hour power outage on Sat.
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled a three-hour power interruption for Saturday, Oct.1, 2011, lasting from 8:30am to 1130am for the Isley Field, Commonwealth Ports Authority grounds, As Perdido, and Lower Dandan areas.
The purpose of this interruption is to install isolation cutouts on power poles near the Isley Field water wells. These installations will allow the power crews to change out the transformers next week. The transformer change-out will minimize future power interruptions at the Saipan International Airport.
Because of the scale of the work that will be performed, travelers are advised to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. CUC apologizes, in advance, for any inconvenience resulting from these projects and the power interruption. [I](CUC)[/I]
