Celebrity coming alive in A Division

Oleai Beach Bar & Grill’s Celebrity gained a game on A Division frontrunner Mixed Blood Shooters 1, of D’Pirates Bar & Grill, after the conclusion of last Monday’s Saipan Electronic Dart Association matchups.

Meanwhile, D’Pirates’ Try Luck was upset by Joe’s Bar & Grill’s Just Like That, 7-8, in the Ladies League, but remained in firm control over the field.

Celebrity came from behind to best the Trouble Shooters (58-78), 9-8, on the road at Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill and pulled within a game behind top-ranked Mixed Blood 1 with an overall win-loss record of 82-54.

Celebrity fell behind early, 1-5, but recovered by sweeping all four singles sniper matches. As both teams traded wins back and forth the game came down to the final Team 1001 Cherry In/Double 1 Out.

Mixed Blood 1 endured an upset at home to Naked Fish Bar & Grill’s Naked Fish Boyz (67-69), 8-9.

In other results, D’Pirates’ Bud Brothers (81-55) downed sister team Predators (69-67), 13-4, in an away draw; Oleai Proofers (71-65) defeated sister team Primos (53-83), 10-7, in a home draw; and Ali’i Kamote’s (69-67) dropped Bar Gaia’s Gaiana-A, 13-4, at home.

Notably, Bud Brothers’ Romuel Chavez marked a 160 High In and Naked Fish Boyz’s James Tudela posted a 117 High Out.

Try Luck endured its first loss of the season, but still holds a stout 14-game lead over its nearest rival with a 97-23 slate.

Third-ranked Just Like That improved to a 59-61 record.

Second fiddle, Man Amigas (83-37) gained some ground from a swift 12-3 victory over Jonny’s Bar 7 Grill‘s Island Girls (46-74) at home in Oleai; and Joe’s Daffodils (37-83) blossomed to a 11-4 rout of D’Pirates Star magic (38-82), on the road and almost passed its rival out of last place.

Notables include a 152 High In by Man-Amigas’ Rita Fitial and a 118 High Out by Try Luck’s Aida Laniyo.

[B]Team CUC keeps lead[/B]

In the Inter-Government League, Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Team CUC maintained the top spot after Friday’s matchups.

Team CUC brushed off sister team NMC Proa (25-80), 10-5, in a road draw at Jonny’s to improve to 77-28.

Second place AG’s Sakude! edged sister team DYS Atdit (63-42), 8-7, in an away draw at Oleai Beach Bar & Grill; Sakude trails CUC by eight games.

Meanwhile, Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill’s DPW Troubleshooters (39-66) upset Jonny’s DPS Enforcers (42-63), 10-5, on the road.

Notables include a 160 High In by Sakude’s Jayson John and a 170 High out by DYS Atdit’s Julian Camacho.

The season continues this Friday with Team CUC visiting DYS Atdit at Jonny’s; Sakude hosting the Enforcers at Oleai; and the Troubleshooters welcoming NMC Proa at Wild Bill’s.
