BOG donates $3K to Governor’s Tourism Cup

The Bank of Guam has joined the growing list of sponsors for the Inaugural Governor’s Tourism Cup Golf Tournament with a $3,000 donation on April 22, 2016.
Proceeds of the tournament on May 14, 2016, will go to the Marianas Tourism Education Council, which was created by the Marianas Visitors Authority in 2002. The tournament is hosted by the Office of the Governor and the MVA and will be held at the scenic Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course with a shotgun tee time set at 7:30am.
“The Bank of Guam has always been and continues to be a stalwart corporate citizen, most especially where the development of our children are concerned,” said tournament director James Nelson. “We’re extremely delighted and grateful to have the Bank of Guam as major sponsor for this inaugural golf tournament.”
The tournament committee has also received several prize commitments from companies such as Pacifica Insurance, donating a $5,000 hole-in-one prize. Hyatt Regency Saipan, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, and the Kanoa Resort have donated several hotel night stays and meals, and Delta Air Lines has donated a round-trip ticket to Japan, with more prizes expected as the tournament draws near.
Food and beverage sponsors include Pacific Trading Co., Herman’s Modern Bakery, and MARPAC. The tournament will feature a morning snack, BBQ hotdog stands on the course, and free-flowing beverages throughout the tournament.
The tournament entry fee is $100 and includes cart and green fees, morning snacks, on-course refreshments, and awards banquet.
Entry forms are available under the MVA Events Calendar at www.mymarianas.comor at the MVA office on Beach Road in San Jose, where forms may be submitted and payments may be made. Checks should be made payable to “Marianas Tourism Education Councilor MTEC.” Credit card payments will not be accepted. The deadline for entries is 5pm on May11, 2016.
