Bordallo was officially sworn in for her seventh term as Guam’s delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives on Jan. 6, 2015, in Washington, D.C., by Speaker John Boehner.
“I want to begin by expressing my deep appreciation and gratitude to the people of Guam for continuing to place their trust in me to represent our island in the United States Congress,” Bordallo said. “Together, as a community, we have achieved much for our island over the last 12 years. There is still much work to be done, and I am committed to building on the progress we have made to continue to improve the quality of life on Guam. I am humbled by this opportunity and thank Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood and the District Court of Guam for hosting the event. I look forward to the new challenges of the 114th Congress and I remain committed to working with Gov. Calvo, Speaker Won Pat, members of the Guam Legislature, and all of Guam’s leaders on issues important to our community.”
