Bordallo statement on Wilson’s nomination
HAGÅTÑA, Guam—Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU) released the following statement yesterday on the nomination of Heather Wilson’s as secretary of the Air Force.
“I welcome the news that President Trump has nominated my former colleague, Heather Wilson, to be the next secretary of the Air Force. As a veteran of the Air Force and Air Force Academy she has a keen understanding of the importance of airpower in our current national security environment. I appreciated the opportunity to serve with her on the House Armed Services Committee and I look forward to better understanding her agenda, if she is confirmed as secretary of the Air Force. As co-chair of the House Air Force Caucus I look forward to working with her to ensure that the importance of airpower is evident in the department’s budgets and strategic documents. I think Heather is the right person to lead that effort under President Trump’s administration.” (PR)
