BREAKING NEWS: Abe Malae passes away
The former executive director of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp., Utu Abe Malae, passed away this morning at the LBJ Medical Center in Pago Pago, American Samoa.
He had just returned to American Samoa from the U.S. mainland last week where he had undergone medical treatment for an unknown illness for several weeks.
Malae was executive director of the American Samoa Power Authority. At CUC, he was credited with halting rolling blackouts several years ago.
