Gov. Eloy S. Inos is not in a hurry to hire a legal counsel to replace his long-time counsel, Teresa Kim-Tenorio, who is now a Superior Court associate judge.

The governor said Attorney General Joey Patrick San Nicolas and the Office of the Attorney General will continue to provide legal support to his office, along with attorneys Jim Stump and Wesley Bogdan. The latter’s main focus are military-related issues, the governor said.

“The AG is going to continue to provide legal support to my office… I’ve got budget issues within the office, too. I just hired an administrative office manager,” Inos told Saipan Tribune.

Kim-Tenorio had been Inos’ legal counsel starting when he was still lieutenant governor. When Inos became governor on Feb. 20, 2013, Kim-Tenorio continued to be his legal counsel. Inos nominated Kim-Tenorio to serve on the bench, an appointment that the Senate confirmed. Kim-Tenorio started reporting for work at the court on Dec. 23.
