Rotary’s ‘Love on the Run’ on Feb. 8
The Rotary Club of Saipan will be hosting a fun run and walk event next Saturday, Feb. 8, to raise funds for its community projects.
Dubbed “Love on the Run,” the event will have 5- and 10-kilometer courses with the start and finish line at the Micro Beach Pavilion at the American Memorial Park.
The 5K run will have its turnaround at the 13 Fishermen’s Monument, while the 10K run will have it at the Oleai Beach Bar & Grill. Both sites will also feature aid stations.
Registration time is 5:30am at Micro Beach Pavilion, with the actual race starting 45 minutes later at 6:15am.
The top male and female finisher in the 5- and 10-K runs will receive prizes. Prizes will also be awarded to age category winners in the following divisions—under 19 year old, ages 20-40 years old, and ages 40 and above.
The local Rotary Club will also be raffling off prizes during the awards ceremony immediately following the race.
Entrance fee is $10 and participants are encouraged to wear red to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
