An 8th grade student at Saipan Community School made it yesterday to the state level of the Geography Bee, which was held via a national virtual ceremony with other top of state qualifiers.

The live virtual National Geographic GeoBee was held for all school champions nationwide and SCS was represented by school champion Paul Camacho.

“We are so proud of our very own Paul Camacho for making it to the state level and representing our school with his hard work and dedication,” the school said in a statement. “We recognize that even though this has been an untraditional way forward, Paul kept studying and making the most of his opportunity. We are so proud of you.” (PR)
