Cop arrested on ‘ice’ charges
Agents of the Attorney General’s Investigation Division arrested on Friday night a police officer in connection with alleged trafficking of methamphetamine or “ice.”
Sources disclosed that AGID agents served the arrest warrant on Police Officer 1 Carl Tudela in San Antonio at about 7pm to 8pm.
Sources said Tudela is assigned to the Department of Public Safety’s patrol section.
Department of Public Safety Commissioner James Deleon Guerrero said it was a joint DPS-AGID operation and that he will issue a statement today, Monday.
Tudela’s bail hearing is expected to be held today in Superior Court.
Saipan Tribune learned that the same officer was also implicated in an “ice”-related case before along with then-police officer Victor Val Hocog and another police officer who was subsequently dismissed from DPS.
Clean it up! get rid of these losers! No respect for for their profession.
There are a few bad apples in every barrel, and I agree that the bad ones have to be removed.
But let’s not paint the whole DPS with the same brush. I have talked personally with many Officers about various topics, and have met sincere, honest, and intelligent people who would never get involved with illegal drugs or any other crime.
A little more respect and better pay would go a long way towards retaining and motivating the best Cops.
Without them, this paradise would be total chaos.
So if the Feds are involved in this he will at least get jail time. OR will he be sent to Hawaii to join to Join Hocog at a rehab center?
So what charges will be filled, Was he selling out of the Govt. cop car? (as Fital’s driver)
Was he on duty carry his Govt. issued side arm while dealing?
When is DPS and other Govt. agencies going to institute “random” drug testing by an independent company.
