Han River is a major river in South Korea and the fourth longest river on the Korean peninsula.
The river has played an important role in Korean history as the former three kingdoms struggled to take control of the land surrounding the river. It was used as a trade route to China.
Today, the Han River is no longer actively used for navigation as its estuary is located at the borders of North Korea and South Korea. Some parts of the river, particularly in Seoul, are lined with restaurants, public parks, pedestrian walkways, and bicycle paths.
Considered as among the most scenic locations in the city, it is no wonder that a romantic and idyllic cruise along the river is an attraction for both locals and tourists in South Korea.
E-Land Cruise is now the only cruise in the Han River, and with their tours at night, you can surely enjoy the Seoul’s cityscape at night.
It is among the popular activities of couples and often becomes a venue for marriage proposals and anniversary. Families and friends also come aboard to celebrate special days such as birthdays and farewell parties.
The cruise was also Featured In One Of The Popular Korean Dramas Entitled “You Who Came From The Stars.”
Aboard the cruise, customers will enjoy a buffet as well as on-board live entertainment. Some cruise will also have other activities such as fireworks, while sometimes you can also be on time for the water and lights display in one of the river’s bridges.
The cruise lasts for about 45 minutes and costs between 12,000 and 60,000 won or roughly about $12 to $60.
