CUC rate consultants on island

Rate consultants of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. are now on island and will be discussing several matters with the utilities company.

The consultants from the company economist.com from the U.S. mainland are catching up with some of the few things with CUC, according to Camacho.

Camacho mentioned that the incentive rate and “a few more items” will be discussed with their consultants.

Camacho said they are still developing the incentive rate which will be for their large accounts.

“It’s a rate that’s going to be put together to give incentives to these large commercial accounts to go from being off the grid to on the grid to CUC,” Camacho said.

In an earlier interview, CUC chief financial officer Matthew Yaquinto mentioned that the 10 percent cost-share of CUC from the Typhoon Soudelor recovery might be passed on to consumers and part of their rate case.
