Detective files handwritten documents in court over the arrest of a defendant
Due to downed computer system at the Department of Public Safety in the aftermath of Typhoon Soudelor, a police detective filed handwritten documents in the Superior Court over the arrest of a 23-year-old man for assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest.
Police detective Therese S. Kintoki filed a handwritten declaration of probable cause complaint against Junior Stazz Martin Tammy. Acting Superior Court Presiding Judge Joseph N. Camacho accepted the documents.
At a hearing on Thursday, Camacho imposed a $25,000 cash bail on Tammy due to his previous criminal records.
Assistant attorney general Clayton Graef appeared for the government. Assistant public defender Tillman Clark was appointed to represent the defendant.
Preliminary hearing will be on Aug. 13 at 9am.
Kintoki’s handwritten affidavit did not provide details surrounding Tammy’s arrest.
