DYS sets public hearings on grant program
The Division of Youth Services under the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs will be conducting public hearings on the Social Services Block Grant state plan on the following dates/time:
-Saipan: Aug. 10, 6pm to 7pm, Multi-Purpose Center
-Tinian: Aug. 11, 5pm to 6pm, Tinian Youth Center
-Rota: Aug. 13, 6pm to 7pm, Sinapalo Youth Center
The basic programs that would be implemented under the Social Services Block Grant Consolidation for the CNMI are based on achieving the following goals: self-support, self-sufficiency, protective services, preventing or reducing inappropriate institutional care and securing other forms of care.
