ELECTION UPDATE: Babauta, Magofna lead early Saipan Senate count
According to CEC’s unofficial tabulations results on election day for the Saipan Senate race, Rep. Celina R. Babauta got 2,859 votes, Rep. Corina L. Magofna received 2,522, Rep. Angel A. Demapan obtained 1,915, Janet U. Maratita got 1,390, and Andrew S. Salas received 1,296. Adding the early voting, Babauta received a total of 5,292 votes, Magofna got 4,809, Demapan obtained 4,542, Maratita obtained 3,381, and Salas got 2,577.
