Entertainers sought for 2014 MMAC
The 2014 March Against Cancer Committee is inviting all musicians, bands, dancers, and other entertainers to perform at this year’s Commonwealth Cancer Association signature fundraiser.
L.J. Castro and Celia Mercado, 2014 MMAC entertainment committee co-chairs, are calling on interested performers to volunteer their time to show their support in the fight against cancer by performing live at the 2014 MMAC.
“We have limited slots available on a first-come, first-serve basis so please contact us as soon as possible to confirm your spot,” Castro and Mercado said.
“Thousands of participants attend the MMAC every year so this is your chance to show your support in the battle against cancer by performing live for our community,” Castro added.
The 2014 MMAC will be held from 6pm to 6am on May 2 to 3 at Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao.
The Marianas March Against Cancer is the largest anti-cancer fundraising activity in the Northern Mariana Islands and is the signature fundraising event of the Commonwealth Cancer Association, a volunteer-led non-profit 501(c)3 organization that ensures all funds raised are spent entirely in the CNMI on cancer awareness and prevention programs, cancer patient support services and other cancer-related activities.
This year’s MMAC title sponsors are Bank of Guam, Delta Air Lines, DFS Saipan, Ltd., GPPC, Island Apparel, IT &E, Joeten Daidai Foundation, Marianas Variety, Sorensen Media Group, and Take Care/FHP.
