In a story published in yesterday’s issue of Saipan Tribune titled “Airport runway lights delayed,” it was erroneously reported that the Saipan International Airport closes the runway from 6am to 5pm. According to Commonwealth Ports Authority board member Barrie Toves, the time the runway closes is actually from 6pm to 12am. “CPA encourages the airlines to move their schedules to the hours of 6am to 5pm to work with us in addressing the congestion and long lines we are experiencing between 12am to dawn,” added Toves. We apologizes for the error.
