Fake Madrid and CTSI Petmalu are alone at the top spot of their respective divisions after prevailing in their games in Soccer School’s 2018 Youth Futsal Tournament last Thursday night at the TSL Sports Complex.

CTSI Petmalu took the solo lead in the co-ed U12 age group after downing Tinsel Toes, 4-1. Nolan Ngewakl powered CTSI Petmalu to its second win in as many games after making a hat trick against Tinsel Toes (1-0-1 win-draw-loss record). Carvin Cruzat nailed the other goal for CTSI Petmalu.

Tinsel Toes’ lone goal came from Markus Toves in the first half, which ended in a standoff, 1-1, after Ngewakl got his first goal in that period. Ngewakl then added two more in the second and Cruzat made it three in a row for CTSI Petmalu, while Tinsel Toes failed to counter.

Tinsel Toes was hoping to bounce back from its loss to CTSI Petmalu when it dueled Betde (1-0-1) yesterday, while the division leader was going for win No. 3 versus Kanoa Ali’i (0-0-2) in the other co-ed U12 age group match last weekend.

In the co-ed U5, Fake Madrid improved to a 2-0-0 record and earned the solo No. 1 spot in the team standings following an 8-4 triumph over Betde United (1-0-1).

Kaden Church starred in Fake Madrid’s victory over Betde United after knocking in four goals—two apiece in the first and second half. Rintaro Miyawaki backed him up, adding three goals—two in the last 20 minutes of the match—while Paulynn Joyce scored the other goal for the winning team. Betde United’s three goals all came from Taka Borja, who had his hat trick in the second half.

Borja and his Betde United was playing Marianas United in yesterday’s third game, while Fake Madrid was shooting for win No. 4 versus CNMI United in the fourth match.

Meanwhile, in the co-ed U18 division’s lone game last Thursday, CTSI Petmalu and ABCD FC settled for a draw, 4-4.

CTSI Petmalu opened a 3-0 halftime lead, as Britanny Wally, Louie Calayag, and Thaiphi Austria hit their target. However, CTSI Petmalu failed to keep the upper hand in the second half, while siblings Dai and Lillian Podziewski, and Joyce helped bring ABCD FC back into the game. Dai drilled a pair of goals, while Lillian and Joyce had one each to force the deadlock. Wally posted the lone goal for CTSI Petmalu in the second half.

With CTSI Petmalu drawing ABCD FC, the former fell to No. 2 in the team standings (pending results of Sunday’s triple-header) behind La Fabrica (2-0-0). ABCD FC was at fifth place with its 0-1-1 slate. Bruv (1-0-0), Kensington Hotel-Suplex City (1-0-0), and Islanders FC (0-0-2) completed the standings.

Islanders FC was playing ABCD FC last night, while the two other pairings in the division had La Fabrica battling Suplex City and CTSI Petmalu dueling Bruv.
