Fee waivers for January 8 NMC Info Session participants

Individuals who participate in the Northern Marianas College’s upcoming Information Session will qualify to receive fee waivers for the NMC admission application and placement tests for the upcoming spring 2015 semester, a savings of about $75.

The information session, which is open to all prospective students and community members, will be on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, from 5pm to 6pm in Room D-1 at the college’s As Terlaje campus. The topics include the college’s new Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, the College, Prior Learning Assessment program, and other new initiatives.

College faculty, staff, and students from the different degree and certificate programs at NMC, as well as Student Services representatives from counseling, financial aid, and admissions will also be on hand to provide helpful information and answer questions.

The Northern Marianas College offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis on elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), bachelor of science degree in business management (new); associate degrees business administration (emphasis on accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts, nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management. Moreover, it offers short-term certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas.
