Fiesta hosts Thanksgiving lunch for man’amko
More than 60 man’amko gathered at the Fiesta Resort & Spa’s Hibiscus Hall on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. This year marked the 6th annual Thanksgiving luncheon hosted by Fiesta Resort.
“Through this luncheon, we are acknowledging the role and significance of our man’amko in our community. Every year, we look forward to hosting this luncheon in your honor,” said Fiesta Resort general manager Abner Acosta.
Acosta and his department heads served the man’amko with a traditional Thanksgiving feast of roast turkey, stuffing, ham, as well as other non-traditional dishes. After the luncheon, the man’amko were treated to a mini-Polynesian show by the Tasi’s Dance Troupe and some cha-cha dancing. There was also raffle drawing and all the man’amko were given Fiesta bags as Thanksgiving gifts.
Walter Manglona, director of the Office on Aging, expressed his appreciation to Fiesta Resort for their continued act of kindness to the man’amko. (PR)
