Fil-Am group to mark 9/11 anniversary
In commemoration of the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that occurred in New York, Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon, the US Pinoys for Good Governance Marianas chapter (CNMI and Guam), in collaboration with the El Shaddai Charismatic Group Saipan, will be holding a simple ceremony today, Sept. 11, at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion in Susupe from 6pm to 8pm.
“Today, Sept. 11, which is also called the National Day of Service and Remembrance, let us remember the people who lost their lives, their families, the survivors, and the first respondents during that tragic day. Let us also recognize our firefighters, law enforcers, first responders and volunteers in the CNMI,” said Dr. Celia Lamkin, USP4GG Marianas Chapter chairperson.
Sen. Ray Yumul will be the guest speaker during this commemoration. There will also be patriotic songs to be performed by the El Shaddai Youth Choir, prayers for the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, among others.
The public is invited, regardless of ethnicity, religion, nationality, and citizenship.
Good gesture USP4GG except you are wrong in asking Ray Yumul to be the guest speaker for this occasion. Don’t you remember what Ray Yumul did to your fellow Pinoy contract workers when he sponsored and pushed for the adaption of H. R. 14-142 by forbidding, depriving and disallowing Contract Workers from transferring from abusive employers!
USP4GG you are tolerating and supporting the unbearable action of Ray Yumul against your fellow Filipinos.
