Weaver said, “DFS Saipan has been a major sponsor of the SFA tournaments for many years, not only with monetary and in-kind support, but also by providing assistance from their operations manager, Mr. Wolf Mojica, as an active member of the SFA.”
He added, “For more than 20 years, Wolf was the chairman of the SFA solicitation committee, and it was through his hard work that the SFA was able to garner great prizes for the tournaments.” Mojica has since relocated to Hawaii as a DFS manager at the Honolulu airport.
SFA registered 60 boats with more than 200 fishermen (and fisherwomen) who competed in the 30th annual Saipan International Fishing Tournament.
The boat named Goru with captain Frank Roberto and crew members, Aaron Roberto and Frank Meno, from Guam, won the grand prize with their catch of a 276-lb Pacific blue marlin. (SFA)
