Little Boy Blew His Horn Not
Little boy blew his horn not quite yet morn
the cows were already in the meadow
and yes one heifer had a wrinkly horn

it made that cow look like a spotted unicorn.
Little Boy Blue is using the avoidance approach
with the Little Old Lady Who Lives In a Shoe
he’s also on the outs with Little Miss Muffet
he asked Mary Mary how does your garden grow
she said well Juana and I have a bumper crop
here I’ll let you try some light it up and puff it
if you get the munchies no need to save the roach.
Smile or Die? Gotta Wonder Why
“Gray skies are gonna clear up put on a happy face, brush off the clouds and cheer up, put on a happy face.”
—lyric excerpt from a 1960 Broadway musical, Bye Bye Birdie.
Does the power of positive thinking leave you blinking
do you think when things go bad you have to smile
sometimes life is just a sour lemon your prospects sinking
so why not let that contemporary reality sink in for a while.
When things go wrong they may never go back right
they will go back to something as they move ahead
what that will be may well be a long time out of sight
and may not come to realization till after you’re dead.
Face up to reality, deal with it when it comes your way
there’s no need for you to constantly “put on a happy face”
progressive and positive thinking has its time and place
grab the bull by the horns help yourself make it through the day.
No need to constantly smile or say ‘I’m blessed’ or ‘your blessed’
keep flexible philosophically let barefaced reality be
confessed.
