Free sailing sessions, canoe rides on Sundays
500 Sails is offering free sailing sessions and canoe rides for the community every Sunday.
The “Sunday Sails” Program is from 10am to 2pm at the Guma Sakman in Susupe. All levels are welcome. Young children must be accompanied by an adult.
Launched by master navigator Mario Benito last October, this program puts seasoned sailors and novices together to learn how to sail traditional canoes made of modern materials.
Bring healthy drinks to share, a water bottle, swim clothes, a towel, and a friend. There is often an informal barbecue, so bring something to share if you like.
