Grace Christian Academy senior Arvin Dayao has been selected to receive a four-year college scholarship from QuestBridge National College Match, enabling him to join the 1,127-strong scholar class of 2024.

Dayao learned about the good news only last Tuesday and was actually surprised to receive the notice. “I was not expecting a scholarship and was already preparing for the regular decision match instead. Nonetheless, I am super excited and grateful for the opportunity,” he said.

Dayao will be attending Colby College in Waterville, Maine. “It is surreal to think that my first four years of college education has been fully covered for, and I’m sure that my parents would agree with that,” he said.

Arvin’s parents, Jun and Mirasol Dayao, were both thankful. “We are thankful…[for the] full four-year college scholarship for Arvin and we are grateful [to] all the friends and family that prayed for us,” they said in a separate statement.

Questbridge is a platform that connects the nation’s bright students with leading institutions of higher education.
