Gov. Eloy S. Inos appointed yesterday Eric Henry C. San Nicolas to serve on the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. board of directors representing Tinian.

The initial appointment requires the Senate’s advice and consent. If confirmed, San Nicolas will serve a four-year term that begins on the date of his Senate confirmation.

“I am fully aware of the important work before the Board and I am confident that he is qualified and will be an asset to this Board,” the governor said in his letter to Senate President Ralph Torres (R-Saipan). The administration said it will later provide the Senate with copies of San Nicolas’ resume, statement of financial interest, police clearance, drug test receipt and drug test result.

The Senate has yet to schedule a public hearing on San Nicolas’ appointment.
