This Saturday, Sept. 3, at 5pm is the last chance to avail of the early bird registration rates for the 20th Annual HANMI Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Sept. 17, 2022, at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort west course.

Registration is $120 through the early bird deadline and $140 after. Registration forms are available at www.saipanhotels.org, www.facebook.com/HANMI670, and at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort and Coral Ocean Resort. The early bird tournament fee is $120 and includes green fee and the awards luncheon. For an additional $30 players may also compete for optional play prizes, including longest drive (male and female), accurate drive, aggressive drive, and four chances for nearest to the pin. The tournament is open to the first 144 paid registrants.

“The HANMI golf tournament often fills up by our early bird deadline, so we encourage players to register as soon to guarantee their slot,” said HANMI golf tournament committee chair Juko Ishikawa. “Thanks to our generous sponsors, we have some great prizes available on the course and at the banquet, so please join sign up and us for a great day of golf!”

Hole-in-one prizes include a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport from Atkins Kroll (Saipan), a 2022 Hyunda Kona from Triple J Motors, a 2022 Nissan Kicks from Joeten Motors, $20,000 cash from Bank of Saipan, and $5,000 from Pacifica Insurance Underwriters Inc.

The HANMI board has selected Northern Marianas Technical Institute as this year’s primary beneficiary of the tournament.

“The committee would really like to thank the volunteers of Northern Marianas Technical Institute, Marianas Tourism Education Council, and Empty Vessel Ministries Foundation who will be assisting with this year’s tournament,” said Ishikawa. “As many hotels are still trying to serve our visitors with limited staffing, the support of these volunteers to make this year’s tournament a success is much appreciated.”

Showtime on tournament day is 6am and the tournament will start at 7am. The awards banquet will immediately follow the tournament at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
