Hocog signs bill appropriating $79K to Tinian

Acting governor Victor B. Hocog last July 10 signed into law House Local Bill 20-67, D1, which appropriates $79,000 from the local license fees collected from pachinko and poker machines in the Second Senatorial District.
The appropriation will be expended as follows:

• $50,000 to fund Fall 2019 Semester for the Tinian Municipal Scholarship;
• $10,000 to fund Fall 2019 Semester for Master’s Program;
• $10,000 to purchase firearms, firearm accessories and for training of personnel for the Tinian Department of Lands and Natural Resources, Division of Fish and Wildlife; and
• $9,000 to purchase a zero-turn mover for the Tinian Department of Community and Cultural Affairs.

Offered by the Tinian and Aguiguan Legislative Delegation, this bill becomes Tinian Local Law 20-13. (PR)
