Islandwide power outage on Rota

There will be an emergency islandwide power interruption on Rota on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 8am to 12pm to allow the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. to perform preventive maintenance services on the generator that is currently serving power to the entire island.

“It is mechanically important that the generator is maintained properly and timely to continue effective and efficient power services to the island of Rota,” CUC said in a statement.
