After almost two years without a president due to internal turmoil, the Korean Association of Saipan finally has one.

Hong-Kyun Kim, owner of P&A Corp., was elected for a two-year term as president of the association.

The association’s election committee member, Jun Lee, said yesterday that Kim was chosen as their president during a general meeting held at the Korean Association Center in San Antonio on Friday.

Lee said they didn’t have president for almost two years because some officers were suing each other over election matter and other issues.

Lee said the disputing parties finally settled and are united again.

The Korean Association of Saipan has about 1,500 members.
