Leon Guerrero elected board chair; Fong elected vice chair

Also during the meeting, the Board of Regents elected William Leon Guerrero as chairperson. Leon Guerrero has been a member of the board since 2007, and prior to his election as chairperson, he served as vice chairperson. He is the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Bank of Guam.
Other elected officers include: Regent Marcos Fong as vice chairperson, Regent Antoinette Sanford as treasurer and Regent Mariflor Herrero as representative to the Regent Nominating Council. Student regent-elect Vinni Orsini will replace outgoing student regent Anthony Quenga in May.

Appreciation was extended to outgoing chair, Dr. W. Chris Perez, whose term ends in July. The Regent Nominating Council is currently soliciting applicants from the community.(UOG)
